Yoga in the Workplace


The rapidly changing work environment places ever-increasing demands on employees. In response to this challenge, many businesses find the provision of workplace exercise & wellbeing activities deliver real benefits in increasing productivity and morale. 


Yoga is one of the most productive and cost-effective forms of support that a company can provide to its employees. The practice of yoga provides a range of physical and mental outcomes including; 

  • providing individuals with physical routines which support stress management

  • improving the immune system and overall health, resulting in decreased absenteeism and sickness levels

  • increasing energy, mental alertness, and clarity

  • reducing muscle tension and pain due to sedentary working positions

  • improving flexibility and physical strength 


A range of yoga sessions in the workplace are possible - from short but invigorating lunchtime sessions to more comprehensive 1-hour after-work classes. I am happy to design classes to suit the needs of your business and your staff. A class can be run in a meeting room, fitness area or any open floor space and requires minimal equipment - staff simply show up in comfortable clothes and they are ready to go.


You may want to trial the idea with a single yoga class. However I would recommend any trial to allow 3-4 classes. As many staff may be new to yoga it is very helpful to allow them time to learn new practices, apply them to their own situation and feel the results.

Conferences & Events


In addition to being a great offering for staff in their regular workplace, a yoga session can be a great addition to your conference or meeting.


Uninterrupted hours sitting around the boardroom table or standing in front of a flipchart will steadily lead to decreased concentration levels and productivity. A yoga session, even as short as 30 minutes, will reinvigorate and energise delegates and enhance their creativity and output.

I deliver tailored yoga sessions for corporate teams which take place at your meeting venue. These sessions are designed to give you and your teams the best possible physical and mental 'pitstop' so you are recharged and ready to deliver at your best.


Yoga sessions are also a great addition to teambuilding events providing a welcome change from the more commonplace activities and also providing teams with exercises and routines they can take away and benefit from even when they are back at work.
